Tips & Tools for getting started

Step 1 – Get Motivated

Without a why, we achieve nothing. What’s your why for creating more balance in your life? Use the articles below to find out the benefits of creating a balanced lifestyle and how it can positively impact your life.

Step 2 – Choose your balance pillars

Take a moment to visualize what balance means to you. Think about how you can bring more peace, better relationships and personal growth into your daily routine, whilst still achieving your goals. Reflect back to the ‘Key Balance Pillars’ page and identify the areas that you would like to improve upon.

Step 3 – Goal setting

Now that you have identified the areas of your life that you would like to improve upon using the Key Balance Pillars, its time to head to page 5 to set your goals and vision for the next 3 months. Take your time as you visualize what you would like to achieve in the next 3 months in each area of your life. Remember to make your goals specific and achievable.

Step 5 – Month View

Move into your first month with Balance on page 10. The month view is the perfect place to plan the upcoming weeks. Use the space provided to start breaking down your goals into smaller chunks, and jot down what action steps you can take this month to move you closer towards them. Use the calendar view to organise your schedule and commitments, while creating time at the start of each month for self-care and social relationships.

Step 6 – Week View

Start your first week on page 22. With the week view, you can start moving towards your monthly goals. Use the space to set your priorities for the upcoming week, and use the habit tracker to track your positive habits. The week view is essential for planning a truly great, and well-balanced week.

Step 7 – Day View

The daily view is where the magic happens. Use this space as your action plan towards making every day count. The daily view gives you a full 2 pages to plan out your day, and write down your main priorities for that day along with other to-do’s. Remember to use the space provided to create balance in your daily routine and time for yourself. At night, reflect on your achievements and celebrate your wins.

Step 6 – Reflection

Reflection plays a massive role in creating truly great lives. Without understanding, and reflecting on our journey so far, we are unable to appreciate the progress we have made, or identify where we could make improvements. Use the monthly, and weekly reflection pages to check back in, record your progress and make any changes as needed.

Bonus Step – Journaling

Journaling is a powerful tool for self-reflection and personal growth. By putting our thoughts, and emotions down on paper, we can gain a better understanding of ourselves and our experiences. This is why we have created a dedicated space on page 232 for journaling and daily reflection.
